39mm Pond Glass Window

Three glass layers, same as the 33mm pond glass window. The glass itself is different. 12mm per layer in the 39mm rather than 10mm. Thicker individual layers resist deflection under continuous lateral water pressure more effectively, and at 950mm of pond depth the pressure on the face of the glass is not a temporary condition. It is there every day for the life of the installation, and heavier glass handles long-term loading differently to thinner glass of the same layer count.

Three layers of 12mm toughened glass bonded with two 1.5mm EVA interlayers. Heat-soaked. For ponds in the 800 to 1,000mm depth range running wider than 2,000mm, this is the appropriate pond glass window. Below those thresholds the 33mm does the job. Above 1,000mm deep or 3,000mm wide, the 44.5mm is the right specification.

There is no ambiguity in the decision. A pond at 950mm deep and 2,400mm wide sits inside the 39mm range. Order it. A pond at 1,050mm deep has moved outside it. Order the 44.5mm.

Pond Glass Window Thickness Guide

Below the 39mm are three lighter pond glass windows: the 21.5mm for ponds up to 400mm deep and 1,400mm wide (two layers of 10mm), the 25.5mm for up to 550mm deep and 1,600mm wide (two layers of 12mm), and the 33mm for ponds up to 900mm deep and 2,000mm wide using three layers of 10mm glass with two EVA interlayers. Above the 39mm is the 44.5mm, the heaviest specification in the range, for ponds exceeding 1,000mm in depth or 3,000mm in width.
