44.5mm Pond Glass Window

Regular price £120.00

With our high-quality pond glass window that’s easy to clean and maintain, you can have a perfect fish pond.

Four layers of 10mm toughened glass. Three EVA interlayers between them. The 44.5mm pond glass window is the specification for ponds over a metre deep or approaching 3,500mm in width, and nothing lighter is appropriate at those dimensions.

At 1,200mm of depth, the load on the face of a pond glass window is significant and permanent. Four-layer laminated construction, heat-soaked throughout, handles it. The three EVA interlayers each serve the same function: if the glass layer outward of each bond breaks, the fragments are held and the layers inside continue to perform. A three-layer pond glass window at 1,100mm of depth has one fewer bond in that chain. Over years of continuous water pressure that distinction is not academic. It shows up in how the installation ages.

Large feature ponds and serious koi breeding setups are the typical applications here. If you are building at this scale, our raised koi pond guide covers the structural and design considerations in full. Commercial installations at the outer limits of the depth and width range also land on the 44.5mm. This pond glass window is not for garden builds and it is not priced like one. Suitable for ponds up to 1,200mm deep and 3,500mm wide.

Pond Glass Window Thickness Guide

The 44.5mm is the top of the range. The four lighter specifications below it are the 39mm (three layers of 12mm, up to 1,000mm deep and 3,000mm wide), the 33mm (three layers of 10mm, up to 900mm deep and 2,000mm wide), the 25.5mm (two layers of 12mm, up to 550mm deep and 1,600mm wide), and the 21.5mm at the entry point (two layers of 10mm, ponds up to 400mm deep and 1,400mm wide). If your pond dimensions fall inside any lighter specification, order that one. The 44.5mm is not a cautious upgrade. It is the specification your pond dimensions require, or it is the wrong product. Our pond glass thickness guide will confirm which specification applies to your build.

Ordering

Bespoke to your dimensions. Measure before ordering, because the 24-hour window from purchase is the only opportunity to amend or cancel without cost. After that the glass is cut and changes carry an additional charge. For context on what to expect at this specification, see our pond glass window cost guide.
