Antique Brass Mirror Splashback

An antique brass mirror splashback is the deepest, warmest finish in the range. It earns that place by staying heavy. No shine to hide behind. Bronze carries a coppery lift and catches light readily. Brass doesn't. It sits lower, more mottled, further from the light rather than chasing it. The foxing runs denser and less evenly spread, so the surface reads as genuinely aged rather than polished. It suits a kitchen built around dark or worn metal fittings, tarnished brass door furniture, cast iron, matt black ironmongery, anywhere a bright or highly reflective finish would sit awkwardly against everything else in the room. A separate gold antique mirror splashback is being added to cover that brighter end of the range, so brass stays firmly on the darker, heavier side of the family rather than competing with it.

Every antique brass mirror splashback starts from the same base spec. 6mm toughened, low-iron glass. Polished edges. Low iron keeps the colour reading true instead of picking up the faint green tint ordinary glass carries. Toughened means it's rated for heat resistance up to 400°C, so it goes in directly behind a hob or any other high-heat zone in the kitchen without a second thought.
